Monster Guts
PACEMAKER
F.A.Q.s
Q: Is the Pacemaker a kit?
A: No, the Pacemaker is not a kit. There is no assembly or soldering required. You will only need to attach the supplied cables to the terminals in the rear of the unit. This process is as easy as turning a radio dial.
Q: Do I need anything else to get my prop moving?
A: Only a wiper motor. We supply cables to connect the Pacemaker to our brand of wiper motors, though the cable can be easily adapted to other wiper motors. You can buy a wiper motor and Pacemaker together in our "Bride of Power Pack" option located in the Electric Motors category on Monster Guts. By doing so you will also save some money.
Q: Can I use the Pacemaker in a prop that is outdoors?
A: Of course, but we recommend dry conditions. Never expose the Pacemaker to elements such as rain or snow. If you plan to keep the Pacemaker outdoors for long periods of time and in severe weather, find a way to shelter and protect it.
Q: I have a Trico wiper motor. Will the Pacemaker work with it?
A: Yes.
Q: I have a wiper motor that is neither the Monster Guts brand or a Trico. Will the Pacemaker work with it.
A: While in theory, every 12VDC wiper motor is the same, some exotic models of cars have wiper motors with distinct nuances. In practice, a 12VDC motor is essentially the same as the next 12VDC wiper motor, however, we can not guarantee the Pacemaker will be compatible with it.
Q: Can the Pacemaker be used with prop controllers?
A: Yes. The type of prop controller you are using will determine how to connect the Pacemaker to it. The included manual explains how to make these connections.
